Our Quaker ConnectionsEstablished in 1920 with funds made available from the Friends Ambulance Unit which no longer needed a base in Central London. The Club continues to have ties with Friends and Quaker organisations throughout the UK. The Edward Cadbury room offers a choice of current Quaker magazines and other literature, pamphlets on current Quaker thinking, information on Quaker Centres throughout the UK and a large selection of books by Quaker authors and on Quaker history. Discounts are available for delegates attending Meeting for Sufferings. Ethical buying and employment policies are in keeping with the expectation of a Quaker establishment. Overall, the peace and quiet of the Club and respect for an individual's privacy complements the sense of community. Smoking is not permitted throughout the building. Other Places to Stay
